Photography of h.butz

A friend of mine once told me, "Henri, I love your work but I cannot hang it on my wall. Anyone who looks at it will ask, Who is that woman and why do you have a nude photograph of her hanging in your livingroom? Your art needs to be more abstract." His insight was genius. A literal nude is portrait. While there is nothing wrong with portraiture, that is not the statement I am trying to make.

These images should invoke feeling, emotion, mood. The model is transcendental... incidental. What matters is the image.
